Supporting people with learning disabilities to have a voice
Speak Out has been an independent advocacy charity in Brighton and Hove since 1994. We make sure people with learning disabilities can speak up and take action about the things that matter to them.
Our Services
Supporting adults with learning disabilities to speak up and be heard about what is important to them.
Brighton and Hove Speak Out and The Link Group plan and chair the Learning Disability Partnership Board as part of the work they do for the council.
Advocacy referrals can be made to Speak Out for someone who has a learning disability, is 17+ years old and lives in Brighton or Hove.
Volunteer for Speak Out
Find out about becoming a volunteer for Speak Out:
I have volunteered in quite a few voluntary organizations in Brighton & Hove and I think my work at Speak Out is the most enjoyable voluntary work I have done in Brighton & Hove; and I think that comes from the sense of meaning and purpose that comes from Speak Out volunteering and the great staff and volunteers.
