Speak Out staff provide issue based advocacy alongside citizen advocacy
In 2004 the following took place
The Speaking Up Network is launched with 4 new self-advocacy groups
Speaking up for others group take the views of people with learning disabilities in the Advocacy groups to the Partnership Board meetings
Speak Out starts to produce ‘Network News’ a magazine about the work of self-advocacy groups and the LD partnership board
People with learning disabilities start delivering Disability Awareness Training to local organisations
Speak Out sets up a resource library and launches ‘Build a Picture’ a tool to help people make plans.
